Hi Manasa Sirahatti, I tried the compatibility troubleshooter and it didn't help. The troubleshooter did not detect the external drive.
Any other ideas? Warnings Be sure there is nothing on the drive you want to save before you reformat, as the reformatting process will erase all data on the drive. I loaded about 40 gigs of mp3's, all gone.

The drive just stopped working. It would not be recognized by any computer. I took it back to exchange for another. This time I was cautious, only putting a few videos on it.

After a week it stopped being recognized. After a quick set-up, it was very easy to simpletech external hard drive 250gb.
